Around 50 kiwi live on the Tangiaro property. You’ll hear them at night, but they are elusive by day.
At Tangiaro, nature is everywhere. Take a walk down the Tangiaro stream to the swimming hole, explore the silver mines along the way. Lie back in a hot spa, tucked under the tree canopy, or relax on the deck of your chalet, listening to the birds. The Kiwi Spring Festival (formally the Paua Festival) at Tangiaro is held annually on the Sundat of Labour Weekend. |

The Massage Room is set amongst the native bird life right in the bush, near the Tangiaro stream, with private spa pools just a step away.
Enhance your stay at Tangiaro Lodge with a highly recommended massage. Available to both our in-house guests and day visitors (PRE BOOKING ESSENTIAL). “Hi, I’m Jan, certified massage therapist at Relax & Revive, Coromandel. I’m on-site at Tangiaro by pre arranged appointment to help you on your way to a relaxing break. I have a great selection of relaxation treatments – see left for details. I look forward to meeting you.” Bookings essential. Please be aware that due to our remoteness and travel time required, Jan is only on site when she has confirmed bookings. During the summer holiday season massage times are often booked out days ahead. Sometimes Jan is available for last minute massages but not always…so if you wish to guarantee a time we urge you to book ahead of your visit by contacting Jan directly. |
